The Precious Pearl

The very shape of the pearl is, and always will be, an image of the Word of God made man. He is solid as a pearl in the immutability of eternity, white in the holiness of life, bright with the light of Divine Truth, having the smoothness of meekness and the infinite worth of blessedness. Round through the possession of all perfection. the Divine Word reveals the glory of God an again may be compared to the pearl, that, as St. Ephrem says, "is all face. " That is the reason, too formed of a single pearl. The Word of God is the door to salvation.
