Who We Are

The University of Notre Dame has many libraries on its campus ranging from informal hall libraries with a few shelves of books, to the substantial professionally oriented collection of the Kresge Law Library, to the 14-story Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., Library. Most of the major libraries and collections fall under the auspices of the University Libraries system, which includes six branches and the Hesburgh Library. The Hesburgh Library also houses a few non-library units such as University Archives, Campus Ministry, and classrooms. The University Libraries hold over 2 million volumes, 2.5 million microform units and 22,600 serials.
