The fine schedule below applies to all library borrowers. Items are considered lost if they are not returned within thirty days of the due date.
Recalled
items:
$10.00 when overdue
$25.00 when thirty days overdue plus
replacement costs
Books:
$10.00 overdue charge plus a minimum replacement
charge of $70.00 if the book is lost (May be higher depending on replacement
costs).
Journals:
$10.00 overdue charge plus replacement costs
after thirty days. Charges for replacement depend on the subject area.
Overdue charges are non-refundable. Replacement costs
will be refunded if an item is later found and returned in good condition.
Fines can be paid at the main library circulation
desk or at the branch where the material was borrowed. Checks should
be made payable to University Libraries of Notre Dame.
Failure to receive a notice of any kind does not exempt you from fines.
