This website has a ton of tips for behavior, fround training,management, basic training, etc. It has a lot of good information about every little thing you could think about that has to do with horses.

It has the training tips for the western rider and how to train with the horse that will be using the western style of riding.

The page talks about different methods of training and seeing which method worked and which one didn't. They took 12 different horses and split them up into two different training sessions.
