This book was actually a little confusing. It was very descriptive on the topics that they mentioned, but the topics weren’t actually what I was looking for. It also had a lot of abbreviations that I didn’t know what they meant, so I got frustrated and confused!

  • Ashby, Phil. “Child combatants: a soldier's perspective” Lancet.

2002,  Supplement, Vol. 360, Issue 9350, p. 11

This is an article about the brutality of child soldiers in Sierra Leone. It gives a blow by blow account of the whole process and then it actually has a quote from the actual children. This article was a great source of information and I definitely can use this one for more research.

  • Masland, Tom. “We beat and killed people…” Newsweek. 2002, Vol. 139, Issue 19,

p24

This is also a great article it actual has these four boys describing their encounter of being actual child soldiers. They explain how it was to kill and beat people for a living and how it disturbed them extremely. Now they are in rehab centers and still not doing to good!
