Acceptable Use Policy
Books and journals in the disciplines of art, art history, and design are housed on the second floor of Hesburgh Library. The Italian Renaissance is an area of emphasis. Related collections in Hesburgh Library include photography, on the first floor, and Medieval Institute books and journals, on the seventh floor. The Architecture Library in Bond Hall holds 28,000 volumes in that discipline, and the Art Slide Library in O'Shaughnessy houses a collection of slides.

Art Full Text also indexes reproductions of works of art in these periodicals.

Based on The index of Christian art, a thematic and iconographic index of early Christian and medieval art objects to 1400 begun at Princeton University in 1917. Indexes articles, notes, and similar literature on medieval subjects in journals, Festschriften, conference proceedings, and collected essays. Covers all aspects of medieval studies within the date range of 400 to 1500 for the entire continent of Europe, the Middle East and North Africa for the period before the Muslim conquest and parts of those areas subsequently controlled by Christian powers. Contains electronic resources for researchers in the study and teaching of the Middle Ages and Renaissance (400-1700). Enables users to access citations in journal, book, and reviews databases; provides online access to Paul Oskar Kristeller's Iter Italicum (a finding list of Renaissance humanistic manuscripts); provides access to the International directory of scholars (a comprehensive directory of contact information, and information on the research and teaching careers of scholars around the world).
Presents the art and archaeology section of the Perseus Project at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. Contains a search engine for the Project.
