Access to these resources is governed by license agreements which restrict use to the Notre Dame community and to individuals who use the Notre Dame Libraries' facilities. It is the responsibility of each user to ensure that he or she uses these products only for individual, noncommercial use without systematically downloading, distributing, or retaining substantial portions of information. Acceptable use forbids downloading contents of entire issues of a given journal title. The use of software such as scripts, agents, or robots, is generally prohibited and may result in loss of access to these resources for the entire Notre Dame community.

• Abraham Lincoln Papers at the Library of Congress

  
  
  Consists of approximately 20,000 documents of general correspondence, including incoming and outgoing correspondence and enclosures, drafts of speeches, and notes and printed material from the 1850s through Lincoln's presidential years, 1860-65.

• Dead Sea scrolls electronic library

  
  
  Mode of access: CD-ROM's contents and software have been installed on the "Windows XP -- CD Station" computer, located by the Reserve Book Room.

• Frederick Douglass papers at the Library of Congress

  
  
  The first release of the Frederick Douglass Papers at the Library of Congress contains approximately 2,000 items relating to Douglass's life as an escaped slave, abolitionist, editor, orator, and public servant. The papers span the years 1841-1964, with the bulk of the material from 1862-1895. The collection also contains the writings of some of Douglass's contemporaries such as Henry Ward Beecher, Ida B. Wells, Gerrit Smith, and Horace Greeley. Subjects covered in the collection include politics, emancipation, racial prejudice, women's suffrage, and prison reform.

  Provides a transcription of all 58 15th-century witnesses to The wife of Bath's prologue, with word-by-word collation of the witnesses, digital images of all pages transcribed, transcriptions of glosses, descriptions of the witnesses, and spelling databases.
