Altering Pop-up Blocking

in Web Browsers

Internet Explorer | Netscape or Mozilla | Safari

 

Internet Explorer

PC

1. Select Tools >Internet Options
2. Choose the Privacy tab in the Internet Options window
3. In the Pop-up Blocker section, choose Settings
4. Add "nd.edu" as an entry in the Allowed Sites portion of the Pop-up Blocker Settings. Close and save your changes.
5. Restart your browser to make sure the changes take effect.

 

Netscape or Mozilla

PC

1. Select Mozilla > Preferences or Netscape > Preferences from the menu options.
2. Under the category Privacy & Security > Popup Windows, make sure that the "Block unrequested popup windows" ceckbox is deselected.
3. If you must have a popup blocker enabled, then you should add nd.edu to the list of sites that are allowed to perform popup windows.  To do this, click the Allowed Sites... button, type nd.edu in the input box and click the Add button.  Then click OK.
4. Restart your browser to ensure the changes take effect.

Mac

1. Select Mozilla > Preferences or Netscape > Preferences from the menu options.
2. Under the category Privacy & Security > Popup Windows, make sure that the "Block unrequested popup windows ceckbox is deselected.
3. If you must have a popup blocker enabled, then you should add nd.edu to the list of sites that are allowed to perform popup windows.  To do this, click the Allowed Sites... button, type nd.edu in the input box and click the Add button.  Then click OK.
4. Restart your browser to ensure the changes take effect.

 

Safari

1. Select Safari > Preferences from the menu options.
2. Select the Security tab.
3. Make sure the "Block pop-up windows" checkbox is deselected.  Close the Security window.
4. Restart your browser to ensure the changes take effect.
