Searching PsycARTICLES can be done in several ways. The easiest way to search for articles on a topic would be to search in PsycINFO. Full text articles available in PsycARTICLES are linked directly through the FindText links embedded in PsycINFO.
If you want to peruse a particular journal title that is available through PsycARTICLES, you can link directly to the journal: • Search for the journal title in the ND Library Catalog. Links to PsycARTICLES journals are included in the catalog records. • Browse through PsycArticles journal title in the Electronic Resources Gateway. Links to the journals can be found under “PsycARTICLES” in the E-Journal Collection drop-down box, or by selecting the “Psychology” subject on the Gateway and then selecting the “Journals” link toward the top of this page. • All of the PsycARTICLES journals will soon be added to the eJournal Locator. • PsycARTICLES also has its own search function. If you wish to search ONLY PsycARTICLES journals as a group, you may do so by visiting the Electronic Resources Gateway, selecting the “Psychology” subject and selecting PsycARTICLES in the alphabetical list. - Cheri Smith, Psychology and Education Librarian Related online access: PsycINFO - Comprehensive subject index for articles and books on Psychology topics. ArchivesUSA® is a tool for researchers who
use primary source materials. It is a directory to archives and
manuscript collections in the United States and with descriptions
of repositories and their holdings holdings. It integrates the following
information into comprehensive collection records
* The entire collection of The National Union
Catalog of Manuscript Collections (NUCMC) from 1959 to the present.
NUCMC includes information gathered and indexed by the Library
of Congress, covering more than 93,100 collections.
To find archival collections dealing with a particular person, society or organization, do a Collection Search using keywords or browse the collection names. For example, searching keywords “zora and hurston” all collections in the database that mention Zora Neale Hurston will be listed. However, a browse search on Collection Name using “hurston” turns up the papers of Zora Neal Hurston located at the University of Florida Libraries .
By doing a Repository Search archives locations can be defined by city, state, repository name and holdings in a repository. For example, searching repository city “notre dame” generates a list that includes the Jacques Maritain Center, the Notre Dame Archives, St. Mary's Archives, the Holy Cross Province Archives, and Rare Books and Special Collections and the Medieval Institute in Hesburgh Library. - Margaret Porter, Reference Librarian Related online access: For more complete information on archival and manuscripts collection use two additional online catalogs: RLG Union Catalog AMC File and OCLC Mixed Materials File in conjunction with ArchivesUSA®
