We will lend as many as six volumes, six reels of microfilm, or fifty microfiche/microcards per individual request. The loan period is four weeks. We will renew loans, upon request. Our standard renewal is 2 weeks from the due date.
We do not lend issues or volumes, but we will photocopy articles from journals within the restrictions and guidelines of the copyright laws. Our standard fee is $15 for not-for-profit US and Canadian libraries, $25 for for-profit US and Canadian libraries and $20 for international loans. The charge is the same whether the photocopy is transmitted by fax, by ariel, by post, etc.
If there is a circulating copy, we will lend master's as well as doctoral dissertations. Please note that Notre Dame Ph.D. dissertations are also available for purchase from ProQuest/UMI.
We lend US, Indiana, OAS, European Community, UN as well as other govdocs.
We have reciprocal agreements with all Indiana libraries, and we provide free interlibrary loan service to ATLA/CATLA members as well as to all federal and state government agencies.
We also have reciprocal agreements with many out-of-state libraries, and we are always interested in such agreements when they are mutually beneficial.
We do not charge for postage; however if you require overnight delivery or rush service, we ask for a FedEx number or some equivalent thereof.
We prefer IFM ; however, we will send invoices as well.
Our standard fee is $15 for not-for-profit US and Canadian libraries, $25 for for-profit US and Canadian libraries and $20 for international loans. The charge is the same whether the photocopy is transmitted by fax, by ariel, by post, etc.— We WILL NOT accept telephone requests.

— We prefer to accept request forms from other libraries through OCLC (our symbol is IND), but we will also accept requests through an online form.
— We accept RUSH requests. We will fill within 24hrs (M.- F.) of receiving the request. We accept requests via OCLC and our online pages. Please indicate that it's a RUSH request.
— From December 24th through January 2nd our Interlibrary Loan office is closed. From December 15 to December 24, we will be unable to borrow or lend books, microfilm and other "returnables." However, we will try to maintain normal service with regard to photocopies.
