This prayer book contains the prayers a little child would have been taught, such as the Pater Noster (Our Father), the Ave Maria (Hail Mary), a prayer to the Guardian Angel, and so forth. The child in this case was Renée de France, daughter of Louis XII and Anne de Bretagne.
