A mixed manuscript, containing much material associated with the cult of Saint James,
for whom there was a celebrated pilgrimage to Compostela in northern Spain. The liturgical
part of this manuscript is especially important to music historians, as evidence for the
spread of medieval polyphony -- as can be seen from the selection presented here.
