This is a facsimile of the C manuscript of the Middle High German dramatic tale of the demiseof the hero Siegfired and how his widow avenged his death, followed by a lament recounting those events. There are several versions of these texts (this one being the longest), so that it is necessary to be able to compare the various early manuscripts -- a task facilitated by facsimiles.
