 seal in three levels, on the top level Madonna and Child flanked by a crescent moon and star, on the second level two masters in profile, seated and reading books facing one another, on the third level six students seated on the ground reading, on the left a bishop in profile and on the right a saint holding a palm; appended to an agreement between the University and the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés
