Contents: Puts forth the decision of the Joint Legislative Committee on Charitable
and Philanthropic Agencies and Organizations to investigate and expose to the
American people whether some charitable or philanthropic organizations may be
using donations to support Communism. The two particular organizations discussed
in this report are the American Committee for the Protection of Foreign Born
and the Joint Antifascist Refugee Committee, neither of which are cooperating
with the investigation. Recommends increasing the power of the Attorney-General
so that such investigations are easier to carry out and enjoining organizations
from fund raising if they refuse to produce financial records for a lawful inquiry.
