Access to these resources is governed by license agreements which restrict use to the Notre Dame community and to individuals who use the Notre Dame Libraries' facilities. It is the responsibility of each user to ensure that he or she uses these products only for individual, noncommercial use without systematically downloading, distributing, or retaining substantial portions of information. Acceptable use forbids downloading contents of entire issues of a given journal title. The use of software such as scripts, agents, or robots, is generally prohibited and may result in loss of access to these resources for the entire Notre Dame community.

  CIDOC Collection; History of Religiosity in Latin America, c. 1830-1970 +3,000 titles, searchable Index online (EAD) http://www.idc.nl/ead/049faid.html IDC Publishers' edition of more than 3,000 nineteenth- and twentieth-century imprints documents local devotions and syncretist rituals, religious iconography and poetry, and the pastoral campaigns of the various churches and sects. They went uncollected and largely unnoticed until the early 1960s, when Ivan Illich began to collect them in the CIDOC Library of Cuernavaca, Mexico. That has been supplemented by additional microfiching in many libraries elsewhere in MEXICO, VENEZUELA, BRAZIL, ARGENTINA and CHILE. This result was a prime collection of resources documenting a wide array of expressions of popular forms of religion.

Our mission is to introduce readers to quality writing about one of the world's largest cultural regions, whose population exceeds 515 million people. LatAmRoB has developed out of and works in partnership with the African Review of Books, its sister site introducing readers to a continent with which Latin America shares so many hopes, dreams and problems.
