Heraldic Trees & Plants

The vegetable kingdom plays an important role in heraldry. Trees can often be found in all varrieties and in all numbers, though there is little difference between species. In general, if the name of the tree is not mentioned, it is most likely fashioned after the oak tree. In addition to trees, flowers and other plants can be found in heraldry, such as the heraldic rose or the acorn.
