Spanish. Trial of Gaspar de los Reyes, a Portuguese muleteer resident at San Luis de Potosí in Mexico, along with his mestiza companion Catelina de Parraga (de la Parra) for iconoclasm. Very extensive, with many witnesses and signature of officials including inquisition commissary fr. Lope Izquierdo; Gaspar de los Reyes' signature also appears. His punishment included banishment to Castile; she received 200 lashes and both were tortured.

Extensive MS underlining and annotations in multiple hands, including Llanes and Portero. Bound with multiple other short seventeenth century inquisitorial texts, both MS and printed.

Spanish. Extremely ornate certificate with full color and gold-leaf border illustrations, naming Gaspar Lopez de la Palma a familiar of the inquisition. Contains signatures and wax seal. Certified six days later in another hand (on verso).
