note:The signature of Ferdinando Medici appears at the end of the text on fol. 19r. The same hand appears to have made a correction on fo. 9r and notes in the margins of ff. 7r and 8r. At the lower left of fol. 19r is written AL mandato del serenissimo Gran Duca Jacopo Dani. Jacopo Dani was the secretary to Ferdinando Medici, 1591-1598.

Parchment and paper codex with watermarks: orb with crescent moon with letters NL, surmounted by a cross.
Foliation:
Foliation is contemporary and in ink for ff. 1-22, ff. 23-30 are modern (includes loose paper leavea at end) in lead.
Dimensions:274mm x 203mm (leaves), 222mm x 132mm (ruled space)
Collation:iii 18 26 38 46 (-1) iii. Catchwords written horizontally in the lower right corner at the end of the first two gatherings.
Script:Text on ff. 1-19r in a formal humanist cursive with humanist minuscule and Roman capitals used for names and titles. Text on ff. 19v-22v in a less formal humanist cursive. Texts on papers leaves at end in an informal 17th century cursive hand.
Binding:Bound in contemporary limp vellum with title written on cover.
