Script:Text in a single hand in an informal humanist cursive.

Binding:Bound in limp parchment and decorated with gold and the Barberini crest with title on the spine. There are three main ribbon-like threads to go with the inner threads and two ribbons emanating from the ends to tie the book together.
Additions:55-page pamphlet titled Advis donne au Roy, sur l'estat present des affaires de Rome, sous Urbain VIII bound after the manuscript. The pamphlet was published in 1630.
