Acceptable Use Policy

Both Computer Science and Computer Engineering are supported by books, journals and reference materials that exist in the Engineering Library and in Hesburgh. Many are online. Information is available on a wide range of subjects such as computer vision, AI, networks and operating systems, hardware, architecture, algorithms, theory and scientific computing. This page will provide a springboard to the literature. For more specific research questions or help please contact the Engineering Library staff. The Engineering Library is located at 149 Fitzpatrick Hall.

Access to these resources is governed by license agreements which restrict use to the Notre Dame community and to individuals who use the Notre Dame Libraries' facilities. It is the responsibility of each user to ensure that he or she uses these products only for individual, noncommercial use without systematically downloading, distributing, or retaining substantial portions of information. Acceptable use forbids downloading contents of entire issues of a given journal title.   Provides access to bibliographic databases of engineering research literature, including Compendex (citations and abstracts to 5000+ engineering journals, conferences and technical reports), as well as to patents, standards and handbooks. Also includes Engineering Index Backfile covering information from the printed Engineering Index for the period 1884-1969. Overall coverage: 1884 to present.
