Acceptable Use Policy
The Political Science collection is dedicated to the study of American Politics, Western European Governments, comparative politics, international relations, and political theory. Additional interests in the fields of Peace Studies and Public Policy are also included in the selection criteria. The library supports both undergraduate and graduate research studies and curriculum. Materials are collected in a wide range of formats including books, serials, CD-ROMs, and videos.

Access to these resources is governed by license agreements which restrict use to the Notre Dame community and to individuals who use the Notre Dame Libraries' facilities. It is the responsibility of each user to ensure that he or she uses these products only for individual, noncommercial use without systematically downloading, distributing, or retaining substantial portions of information. Acceptable use forbids downloading contents of entire issues of a given journal title. Finding tool for electronic and print publications from the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the U.S. government. Provides direct links to publications that are available online. With more than 500,000 records generated since July 1976, the catalog will grow to include records for publications dating back to the late 1800s. Online counterpart of the Monthly Catalog of United States Government Publications (printed version ceased with Dec. 2004). The Monthly Catalog should be consulted for pre-1976 indexing.

A compilation of questions and responses from more than 12,000 national, state, local and special surveys, conducted by 700 polling organizations in the United States and 70 other countries from 1986 through the present. Each record in the database consists of one poll question and the participants' responses. Records are indexed by subject matter, publication year, general and specific location, and survey method. Other information provided includes: source name and contact information, sample size, and notes on the sample population. Usage info: Licensed for 4 simultaneous users.
