Acceptable Use Policy

Psychology materials collected by the Notre Dame Libraries are scholarly and research oriented. There is a growing interest in research techniques and methods involving the use of statistics, mathematical models, and computer applications. Works on educational psychology and on the medical aspects of psychology, including psychiatry are collected broadly. Graduate level textbooks, biographies of psychologists, and histories of psychology are collected are collected selectively. General undergraduate textbooks and popular self-help works are not collected.

Access to these resources is governed by license agreements which restrict use to the Notre Dame community and to individuals who use the Notre Dame Libraries' facilities. It is the responsibility of each user to ensure that he or she uses these products only for individual, noncommercial use without systematically downloading, distributing, or retaining substantial portions of information. Acceptable use forbids downloading contents of entire issues of a given journal title. The use of software such as scripts, agents, or robots, is generally prohibited and may result in loss of access to these resources for the entire Notre Dame community.

  Contains digitized searchable books and journal articles on psychoanalysis. Book archive includes full text of Standard Edition of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud, Freud's letters to his major collaborators and full text of major works by other prominent psychoanalytic authors. Journals in the archive include full text of many premier English-language journals in psychoanalysis (archive excludes full text of most recent three years of journals' content).

Coverage 1987- when available. Covers general psychology and specialized basic, applied, clinical, and theoretical research in psychology.
