Primary sources include 100 volumes of collected works of Gandhi; 82 volumes of Gandhiji no Akshar Deha; and 97 volumes of Sampoorna Gandhi Vangmaya. Images of newspapers and journals that Gandhi edited will also be incorporated, including Indian Opinion, Navajivan, Young India, Harijan, Harijan Bandhu, and Harijan Sevak. The portal will also feature maps consisting of multiple layers that show sites Gandhi visited during his lifetime.
