The University of Notre Dame has access to two series: にほんご多読ブックス Nihongo tadoku bukkusu = Taishukan Japanese readers ; にほんご よむよむ文庫 Nihongo yomu yomu bunko = Japanese graded readers. Taishukan Japanese readers feature adaptations of Aesop's fables, fairy tales by Hans Christian Anderson and the Brothers Grimm, folk tales, and short stories from Japan and abroad. This series also includes nonfiction works on Japanese travel and biographies of Japanese historical personages. Japanese graded readers include colorful illustrations and aid in basic vocabulary, reading comprehension and grammar for beginners learning Japanese.
