Hesburgh Libraries

A database of over a million pictures extracted from Shanghai Library collections of books, journals, newspapers, and photos published between 1933 and 1949. It is organized by the original material format (photograph, painting, calligraphy, wood sculpture, manuscript, comic, map, stone carving, score, inscription, table/graph, rubbing, seal, etcetra). The keyword search can be specified by original material format, subject, creator, document source, and publication date.
