CANCELED — An Evening with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Renowned Nigerian writer and MacArthur "Genius Grant" winner Chimamanda Adichie will speak at Notre Dame on March 19 as part of the University's Sr. Kathleen Cannon, O.P., Distinguished Lecture Series.

Adichie’s TED Talk, “The Danger of a Single Story,” is among the most-viewed of all time and is part of the Moreau First Year Experience curriculum. Her 2012 Ted Talk, "We Should All Be Feminists," became a bestselling book that has been translated into 32 languages. Adichie's acclaimed novels include Americanah, winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award; Half of a Yellow Sun, winner of the Orange Prize; and Purple Hibiscus, winner of the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award. Her latest book is Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions.
