Book Workshop Part 1: The Book as Object

Overview

This workshop will teach participants about bindings, paper making and paper types, the parts of a book, and the general development of the book from the Middle Ages to contemporary times. The workshop includes hands-on demonstrations of medieval and modern books and manuscripts.
