The annual Undergraduate Library Research Award (ULRA) is awarded to undergraduate students whose essay submission (800–1,000 words) demonstrates excellent research skills that utilize a breadth of library resources, collections, and services for their research and creative projects. ULRA aims to promote intellectual discovery and the advancement of lifelong learning.
Six winners are awarded a cash prize and will have their winning project, essay, and pre-recorded lightning talk preserved in CurateND, Notre Dame's institutional repository. In addition, winners are featured on the University website and a press release is distributed to each winner’s hometown.
Submissions are evaluated by teaching faculty and members of the ULRA selection committee.
