Workshop Overview

In this workshop, we will walk through personalizing a simple, but elegant HTML/Bootstrap 3 website template themed for an academic’s professional website. We will also learn how to host it online for free with GitHub.

Prerequisites

  1. A basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS

  2. A basic working knowledge of the Terminal or other command line interface (CLI)

Learning Goals

  1. Help you design and build your own static website based on customizing a pre-built template: randal-sean-harrison.github.io/academic-website-template/
  2. Help you learn how to host the website for free on Github.com for free
