Learn how to use APIs to harvest information from the Internet.

An API (Application Programming Interface) is a tool that lets computers communicate with each other to perform various tasks, such as data collection. Users can take advantage of APIs to capture information systemically from the web, in ways that would be difficult or impossible to do from just a website. Workshop participants will learn the basic tools and methods for using APIs to gather data from various fields of interest, including sports and art.

This workshop is beginner-friendly but designed for those who want to build data collection skills for more advanced data analysis projects. Please bring your own laptop.
