Overview

The Hesburgh Libraries at Notre Dame have one of the richest and most extensive Irish Studies collections in America. Irish Studies Librarian, Aedín Ní Bhróithe Clements, will offer three sessions focused on Irish Studies resources.

These sessions are open to undergraduate students (particularly those engaged in a capstone or thesis), graduate students, faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, and visiting scholars. Participants can attend one, two, or all three sessions.

Session 3

This session is a pop-up display of recent acquisitions in the Hesburgh Library Rare Books and Special Collections. Visitors should leave their belongings in the lockers provided and follow the directions for visiting the Rare Books Reading Room.

Visitors have an opportunity to view a selection of recent additions to the collections, including:

  1. First printed book by an Irish person
  2. Broadside on 1918 election
  3. Petition on Ulysses
  4. Seamus Heaney editions
  5. Fáinne an Lae
  6. Ulysses print
  7. Tuireamh na hÉireann manuscript
  8. Sinn Féin broadsides
