Participants will learn about digital text editing by examining existing digital editions and will practice text editing by using the widely-popular Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) Guidelines for creating scholarly editions in XML.
Designed for the newcomer and those seeking a refresher or overview of the field. No previous experience with these technologies is required. Those interested in deeper and longer-term engagement are encouraged to discuss the possibility of a Special Interest Group.
Please bring your laptop, or inform the instructor in advance if you do not have one. Open to graduate and undergraduate students, postdocs, faculty and staff.
