Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

102 Hesburgh Library, Rare Books & Special Collections

Exhibit Overview

Among the Irish art held in Hesburgh Libraries’ Special Collections are nine Sponsors Portfolios from the Graphic Studio Dublin — a printmaking studio gallery.

Each Sponsors Portfolio includes five commissioned works, one by a writer and four by visual artists. Writings in these Portfolios are by Seamus Heaney, John Banville, Paula Meehan, Paul Muldoon, Thomas Kinsella, and other highly acclaimed contemporary writers.

Currently on display in this exhibit is a Portfolio from the collection. The Portfolio is a collaboration between artists Clare Henderson, Colin Martin, and Niamh McGuinne and writer Anne Enright, producing works inspired by a single word — “Synapse.”
