The Roaring Twenties are still epitomized by this one tune and dance (the Charleston) that swept the nation and hit the charts in 1924. The Charleston’s sound recordings will enter the public domain in 2024 and are now available to use.
Join the Hesburgh Libraries Copyright Team as we continue our celebration of Public Domain Day with a talk on the music that became the soundtrack of a decade. Learn how you can update the tune using Audacity and also learn the steps to this famous dance.
