Due to the closing of the University on Wednesday, January 30, this workshop has been canceled and rescheduled to Wednesday, February 6.
We will leverage the expanded toolset within SketchUp by modeling custom chess set pieces to be 3D printed. Participants will leave with an appreciation of 3D printing considerations and how to achieve them within SketchUp.
If using a personal laptop, participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early for software installation.
This class is open to undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and staff.

As Digital Projects Specialist, Adam contributes significantly to the development, creation, supervision, planning, and ongoing management of digital collections within the Hesburgh Libraries. Adam provides oversight for the development of three-dimensional services, including 3D printers, software modeling and evaluation of applications that emerge in support of the 3D field as the technologies apply to strategic initiatives within the Libraries. Adam also provides instructional outreach service/course integration as well as workshops and instruction on 3D modeling and other visual software applications, including VR.
