Event: CANCELED — Creating Your Professional Website with WordPress

Friday, October 29, 2021

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Online via Zoom

This workshop has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We live in an age where having an online presence is becoming the norm for most professionals, particularly academics. A well-designed website enhances one’s professional ethos offering a collective, public, discoverable space to share thoughts or publications, as well as other information. In this workshop, we will create a fully functioning personal/professional website on the Notre Dame’s WordPress platform, sites.nd.edu.

Prerequisites:

  1. No coding experience is required.
  2. Please bring your resume/vitae — you’ll use it to populate the pages of your new website.
  3. You will need to apply and be issued a WP site from Notre Dame at least a week before the workshop, at sites.nd.edu/create-a-blog.

__Learning Goals: __

Learn how to design and build your own static website in the ND sites.nd.edu space.

Open to Undergraduates, Graduate Students, Postdocs, Faculty, Staff
