Milan Budhathoki brings geospatial skills to the Notre Dame community in research, consulting and teaching. He is specialized in GIS analysis, spatial data management, web GIS and server applications, and remotely sensed data processing. Prior to joining the Center for Research Computing, he worked for local/state government and academic research in Massachusetts. He implemented a number of innovative GIS projects for the town of Brookline, including an interactive map gallery to showcase the town’s geo-physical and demographic information to public, and also provided GIS training to town’s staff to support better decision-making in citizen services.

Milan has also worked as a research assistant to professors in diverse projects at Salem State University, MA, where he graduated summa cum laude with a master’s degree in Geo-Information Science and he also holds a master’s degree in Environmental Science from Pokhara University, Nepal.
