Congratulations, Mark Robison, winner of the 2026 Rev. Paul J. Foik, C.S.C., Award.

The annual award honors a library faculty member who has contributed significantly to the Notre Dame community and the library profession through personal scholarship and substantive engagement in professional associations.

Robison is the department head of Academic Collections and Services at the Hesburgh Libraries, where he works to advance innovative approaches to building and sustaining collections that directly support the University’s mission while carefully stewarding the Libraries’ resources.

In the citation shared for his nomination, Robison is described as a trusted colleague, an accomplished subject librarian and a forward-thinking collection strategist who has earned the deep respect of colleagues across the Hesburgh Libraries and the University. He regularly supports the political science faculty and students through research consultation and instruction. The citation also recognizes Robison for his integral role in developing transformative open-access agreements that have helped expand the global reach of Notre Dame scholarship while reducing financial barriers for researchers.
