The Hesburgh Libraries of the University of Notre Dame is committed to safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of its users’ personal information in the use of library resources and services. The Libraries fosters the intellectual freedom of all of its users, in pursuit of its mission, the University’s insistence “upon academic freedom that makes open discussion and inquiry possible,” and its support of the American Library Association’s Code of Professional Ethics for Librarians.
